Gymnasium Sound Reinforcement System

Project Overview:
The gymnasium is located in the new campus of Central South University, Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is a modern comprehensive gymnasium. As an important venue for the school to hold sports events (such as basketball and badminton matches), cultural and artistic performances (such as campus evenings and concerts), academic reports, large-scale meetings and other activities, it has high requirements for the functionality, stability and sound quality of the sound system. In order to meet the needs of diverse activities and improve the quality of activities and the participation experience, it is necessary to design a professional, flexible sound system solution that is suitable for the spatial characteristics of the gymnasium.

Venue Analysis：
The gymnasium of Central South University has a building area of 28,000 square meters and can accommodate more than 10,000 spectators. The interior space of the gymnasium is tall, and there are acoustic problems such as sound reflection and a relatively long reverberation time, which need to be given special consideration in the design of the sound system.

Venue Requirements：
Sports Events: It is necessary to clearly play voice information such as competition instructions, athlete introductions, and score announcements. Meanwhile, background music should be played during breaks in the competition to create a lively atmosphere. It is required that the sound coverage is even and clear, without echo interference.

Artistic Performances: Covering various forms such as singing and dancing, drama, and musical performances, the sound system should be able to accurately reproduce all kinds of sounds, including human voices and instrument sounds, ensuring the sound's sense of layering, three-dimensionality, and dynamic range, and meeting the sound effect requirements of different artistic performances.

Sound Reinforcement System Configuration Scheme:
Main Sound Reinforcement System: Select 16 dual 12-inch three-way line array full-range speakers as the main sound reinforcement equipment, and match them with 8 dual 18-inch subwoofers, 10 full-range power amplifiers and 4 subwoofer power amplifiers.
Auxiliary Sound System: 4 monitor speakers.
Audio Processing Equipment: 2 digital mixing consoles and 2 audio processors.
Wireless Audio System: 6 sets of wireless handheld microphones and 2 sets of wireless microphone antenna amplifiers.
Peripheral Equipment: 2 power managers, 4 sets of line array T-shaped stands and 2 customized cabinets.

Final Result:
After about two months of communication, we finally finalized this plan and signed the contract.
